At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.
“During recruitment, Alpha Delta Pi was the only chapter that had me leaving their house each day with a smile. There is a genuineness about the chapter that drew me in, and I knew by the fourth day of recruitment that ADPi was the sorority for me. As a member of ADPi, I don’t need to put on a show or be an artificial version of myself—I can just be me. I now feel immensely supported by a diverse and authentic group of women who I am proud to call my sisters.” -Leah G. Alpha Class 2019
“The Ronald McDonald House is more than just a place where I can help others; volunteering there has revealed some of my innermost passions. It has influenced my decision to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and it has motivated me to get a Masters degree in Health Administration. I hope to manage hospitals and home facilities for families outside of the United States after graduation. I never would have thought that being a small part of RMHC would impact me as much as it benefited others. My hope for everyone is to not only find joy in the act of helping others, but to find meaning for yourself through that act, as well.” -Rachel S. Alpha Class 2018
“I came to Iowa State not knowing a single student. Within my first semester, Adpi introduced me to my best friends who I have made the most amazing memories with in the next 4 years. I rarely missed home, not because I didn’t love where I came from, but because I felt so at home here.” -Erin. K Alpha Class 2016
“Before starting recruitment, I had no clue what I wanted to gain from being in a sorority. It wasn’t until I met the women behind the blue door that I realized I found things I have always been searching for: genuine friendships, character growth, and lifelong memories. After visiting Alpha Delta Pi, I knew that I had found a place where I can be unconditionally supported in my growth while making lifelong memories with the most genuine women I have ever met! I am so blessed to have found this in the place I now get to call home and that I have become one of the women behind the blue door!” -Meredith O. Alpha Class 2019
